UV lamps are located before (and radiating on) the dirty/inlet side of the HEPA filter. This location keeps the filter free from mold and bacteria growth, extending the life of the HEPA and protecting the person changing the filter against infection from the dirty filter. No other air cleaner on the market today has UV lamps located in the same position as TRACS.
Individually certified true HEPA filter with 80 square feet of media removes harmful dust, particulate, allergens, pet dander, and more at 99.99 percent efficiency. Because there is no bypass around the HEPA filter, every TRACS unit performs at HEPA efficiency. Every unit is individually tested with a laser particle counter to have zero 0 particles coming out of the unit.
Prefilters Pack with 3.5 lbs. of a proprietary blend of carbon removes toxic odors, chemicals, gases, smoke odors, and VOCs. The Prefilter Packs are designed to be changed quarterly, ensuring that the unit operates at peak odor removal efficiency at all times, unlike units without carbon filters independent from the HEPA. Every TRACS unit comes with a typical years supply (3) of Carbon Prefilter Packs.
A four speed blower made exclusively for TRACS Mfg. offers the quietest and most efficient air flow on the market. The new low Whisp-Air speed allows for silent operation while still maintaining hospital grade efficiency. Medium to High speeds (250 cfm max) create maximum air efficiency at noise levels suitable for residential and commercial use.
Indicator lights inform you when when individual UV lamps need to be replaced or when filters are clogged with particulate buildup. TRACS monitors HEPA filter loading by a differential pressure switch, not by a timer, so that you get maximum usage out of all filters before replacement.
