Summary:
The Airfree P2000 air sterilizer is the big brother of the P1000 with a larger sterilization chamber. The P2000 platinum edition casing is also built in ABS.
What the P2000 can actually do: The original ceramic core has been enlarged in this version making it capable of covering a larger area than the P1000 air sterilizer (about 100 square feet more). The effectiveness of the unit still bursts 99.99% destruction of micro-organisms and other airborne pollutants at exhaust and an average overall reduction of 90% within two to three weeks.
Even if the P2000 like the P1000 is not as effective against dusts and pollens like an HEPA filter based air purifier it has certain capabilities against it. Like any airfree air sterilizer this model is completely noiseless and has the capability to reduce Ozone levels in a room.
I am pleased with the overall feel and performance of the P2000 Platinum. It looks very cool too.
Strengths:
Maintenance free, there are no filters to change… ever. The P1000 is a great solution against microorganisms such as fungus and molds. Very compact design, it can fit anywhere. Very easy to operate
Weaknesses:
You need to wait sometime (2-3 weeks) before fully benefit from the efficiency of this device. Not as good as an HEPA filter against dusts and pollens.
