Airfree is not an ozone air purifier -that is, a machine which creates an electric field to trap particles. Think of it, rather, as an unobtrusive incinerator that releases no emissions and causes no increase in room temperature.
Airfree utilizes a patented ceramic core full of capillaries or ducts. Even the smallest microscopic particles are drawn into the core via convection currents and incinerated at temperatures between 400 and 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooled and sterilized air is delivered to the environment without affecting the room's temperature or humidity.
Airfree is not an hepa air purifier. It has no filters and requires no maintenance other than occasionally wiping the top lid with a cloth. And despite the heat generated inside its core, Airfree is safe to the touch. The top lid achieves 144 degrees Fahrenheit on its center-uncomfortable but not hot enough to cause any burn. Children will remove their hands when touching the top lid.
Airfree is able to destroy the smallest virus. Regular HEPA air purifiers filters can only capture particles of 0.3 microns and larger. The 80% of all airborne viruses and allergens are smaller.
